Activities - Co Curricular Activities

Co-Curricular Activities.The following co-curricular activities spread out over the academic year are also organised :-

(i) Debate competition:

(aa) Aligarh Muslim University conducted Inter District Debate Competition at Town Hall, Qazigund on 16 Aug 15. 1st , 2nd& 3rd positions at Higher Sec School level and 1st Position in High School level secured by the school.

(ab) All Kashmir Inter School Debate competition was conducted as AGPS Pahalgam on 13 Oct 2015. AGS Wuzur secured 1st Position.

(ii) AGS Wuzur secured the given positions in Inter Zonal Sports Quiz, Dancing & Painting Competitions conducted by J &K Youth Services & Sports Association, Anantnag :-

(aa) Sports Quiz - 1st Position

(ab) Dancing - 1st Position

(ac) Painting - 2nd Position

(iii) Student picnic:

Picnic for the students of AGS, Wuzur was org on 12 Sep 15, 16 Sep 15 and 19 Sep 15 respectively at Kokernag and Verinag.

(iv) Annual day function & Teacher's Day:

The Army Goodwill School, Wuzur was celebrated its Teacher's Day coupled with the Annual day on 05 Sep 2015.

(v) Republic & Independence Day.:

The Republic day and Independence day has celebrated in the school with full patriotic and enthusiastic manner.

(c) Co-Curricular Activities.The following co-curricular activities planned to conduct in current academic year such as :-

(i) 03 May - Debate Competition : Topic-”Odd even rule implemented in New Delhi for light motor vehicles”.

(ii) 23 May - Inter House Debate Competition

(iii) 30 Jun - Essay Competition

(iv) 15 Aug - Independence day

(d) NCC. Army Goodwill School, Wuzur is affiliated to J&K Bn NCC. A total of 50 boys and 30 girls have been enrolled in the NCC wherein 03 x girls attended RD parade 2016.

(e) Educational/Motivational Tour.

(i) National Integration Tour : A National Integration Tour was org by the unit under Op Sadhbhavana for meritorious students of various section of the society of south Kashmir. Edn/motivational tour was conducted from 01 Nov to 14 Nov 15. The tour was supported by a team of 02 teachers & administrative team comprising of one officer, three Other Ranks including nursing assistant from the unit. The children visited various historical monuments, military training establishment and interacted with senior military officers at Pune. The aim of the tour was to expose young minds to the diversity of the country & provide them an opportunity to witness the state of development in the country. On terminaton of tour a Flagging In ceremony was organised wherein Mr Syed Abid Rasheed, DC, Kulgam alongwith Brig AN Kukreti, SM, Cdr 2 Sect RR flagged in the tour.

Today on 8th September 2017 AGS Wuzur celebrated World Literacy Day. On the occasion Teachers and students deliver lectures about the aims and mission of the celebration.
