ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL CREATES HISTORY: DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL WIN FOR INNOVATIONS ON REPUBLIC DAY 2024

Srinagar, 29 Jan 2024. (JKNN) In a testament to the creative prowess and excellence of its students, Army Goodwill School, Wuzur being run by Indian Army announced that, two innovative projects “IoT based Home Automation System” and “Automatic Irrigation System” developed by five talented students have been awarded with Gold Medal at the national level innovation competition. Out of the 50 innovations shortlisted from schools across the nation, Army Goodwill School, Wuzur stands out as the sole institution to bag gold medals for not one but two ground breaking projects.

The gold medal winning innovations developed by five exceptional students
Master Moin Javid, Uzair Farooq, Basalat Reyaz, Arbaz Hussain and Miss Itoo Barika under the guidance of dynamic teachers, Mr Javid Ahmad and Miss Humaira Rashid showcase the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking and innovation. These projects not only reflect the student’s dedication but also underscore the quality of education and mentorship provided at Army Goodwill School, Wuzur.

The Indian Army is immensely proud of the students of Army Goodwill School for achieving this unprecedented milestone. Winning gold medals for both innovations on Republic Day is a testament to the talent, hard work and innovation that thrives within the walls of AGS, Wuzur exclaimed Mr Shakeel Ahmed Khan, principal of Army Goodwill School, Wuzur. This achievement will motivate the youth of Kashmir to excel and strive for higher goals for betterment of the society.

On 30th of December 2023 AGS Wuzur celebrated 25th annual day The event was a vibrant showcase of talent, Featuring of budding artist Aejaz Gundpori The celebration of this silver jubilee reflected the schools commitment to nurture the talent and fostering a vibrant learning environment.

Felicitation of meritorious students by Mrs Nayanjot Anjla Zonal President AWWA Chinar Corps.Who secured 90% and above marks in 8th class DIET Exams 2023.

Ags Wuzur Excelled in class 12th result annual regular 2023 By securing 5 Distinctions and one student namely Mir Mushahir Nisar secured 10Th Position in J&K UT Science stream.

The Rangbhumi event held at auditorium AGS Wuzur was a spectacular showcase of talent, bringing togather 5 artist who performed alongside junior and senior students of AGS wuzur and AGS Behibagh.The event was held in two shifts and was a grand success with the auditorium packed to capacity with enthusiastic audience. the event started with awe-inspiring solo dance by a student of ags wuzur. The ranghbumi artists perform play back theatre. The second part started was a breath taking fusion dance performed by a group of students of AGS wuzur . Overall the ranghbumi event was a grand success , showcasing the incredible talent of student and the artists who performed. The chief guest of the occasion was OIC School Maj Praveen Kumar Yadav....

The J&K Academy of Unified Martial Arts(JKAUMA) kick started "Drugs Out sports in" initiative to fight against drug addiction by promoting healthy lifestyle through Martial Art and raise awareness about ill effect of drug addiction.
In this endeavor a team comprising of well trainees from JKAUMA Conducted a self defense session at SLNAW AGS WUZUR on 19 November 2020.
To acknowledge and appreciate this initiative, Commander HQ Sec 2RR ,Commanding officer 9RR,Commanding Officer 19RR were among the dignitaries present in the special endeavor. Mumbai Parkour and Movement Academy conducted parkour workshop in SLNAW AGS Wuzur on 10 Nov 2020 wherein students actively participated in parkour training involving in activities like Jumping, Climbing, Crawling and Vaulting etc under the guidance and supervision of professional coach and trainers from Mumbai Parkour Academy.

A team from iDream Education conducted a workshop on tablab - a plug and play , digital learning lab by iDream Education in SLNAW AGS Wuzur on 9 Nov 2020 With a single focus to empower the teachers to be world class facilitators and pro actively engage the students with growth oriented digital learning.

Amidst this lockdown, students of SLNAW AGS Wuzur participated in various online competitions organised by Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises under the banner "Satya Bharti Skill Fest 2020" during the month of May and June. As a part,a documentary on "Kargil War" was shown to all the students depicting the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the sacrifices of Kargil Heroes , fallowed by inspirational and emotional vedio of the war.
